Highly-touted recruit Braxton Amos of Parkersburg, West Virginia, included Oklahoma State in his top 5 schools Monday. Ohio State, Penn State, Virginia Tech and Wisconsin also made the cut.

Amos, who is currently ranked No. 5 overall in the Class of 2020 and No. 2 at 220 pounds by FloWrestling, has a decorated resume. He completed the double with cadet freestyle and Greco-Roman national titles in 2016 and 2017, and won back-to-back championships in the Walsh Jesuit Ironman tournament and Powerade tournament, two of the most prestigious high school events in the country. He also went undefeated the past two seasons after missing his entire freshman season with a torn ACL.

Oklahoma State’s ties to Amos are directly to wrestlers that have already committed to its 2020 Class, according to Dan from FloWrestling.

Amos grew up wrestling with Trevor Mastrogiovanni, Dustin Plott, and Konner Doucet on dual teams in middle school and still holds relationships with those guys to this day. Amos could slot in at 197 after a redshirt year when Dakota Geer graduates.
