AJ Ferrari, the No. 1-ranked overall recruit in the 2020 Class, listed Oklahoma State as one of the five schools he’ll take official visits to. Nebraska, Ohio State, Penn State and Rutgers are the other four.

Ferrari, a Cadet world medalist and Fargo champion, is projected to wrestle at 197 pounds in college. He competed at 195 and 220 pounds this past season for New Jersey powerhouses Blair Academy and Bergen Catholic. Ferrari and his brother, Anthony, will return to Allen, Texas, for next season to be closer to their family.

In January, AJ Ferrari said in an interview with True Wrestling that he “watched and idolized” Cowboys head coach John Smith growing up. AJ Ferrari’s thoughts on Smith and OSU’s proximity to Allen, Texas, should give the Cowboys a boost in the recruiting process.
