Offensive line is a position group Oklahoma State has struggled with for the 2021 class, but the coaching staff received good news Thursday when three-star offensive tackle/defensive end Silas Barr committed to the Cowboys.

The Pottsborro, Texas native committed to North Texas since July, but an offer from OSU led the 6-foot-5, 250-pound prospect to change his mind.

Along with OSU and North Texas, Barr had offers from Arkansas State, Louisiana-Monroe, New Mexico, UNLV, and Southern Miss, among others.

Barr was named the District 5-3A-I Defensive Lineman of the Year as a junior, but is being recruited to play offensive tackle at OSU.

With his commitment, OSU now has 15 verbal commits for the 2021 class. Barr is the second offensive tackle commit, joining three-star Logan Nobles from Jenks, Oklahoma.
