The Stillwater product announced his commitment to wrestle for Oklahoma State on social media Tuesday.

“Thank you to everyone who has helped me achieve my goals on this long journey,” wrote Nicholas, who visited North Carolina in September. “I’m super excited to be apart of the Cowboy family!”

Nicholas won the Class 3A state title at 120 pounds as a freshman at Perry before moving to Stillwater, where he claimed fourth place in Class 4A at 126 pounds last season. He’s projected to be at 125 or 133 pounds at OSU.

Nicholas is the first in-state wrestler for OSU’s 2021 class and the sixth overall. He’s teammates with another member of 2021 class in Teague Travis, who moved from Tolton Catholic in Columbia, Missouri, to Stillwater during the summer.
