Good news for Oklahoma State as they add a commit to their 2021 class for the second time in a week.

Three-star safety Lyrik Rawls announced his commitment to Oklahoma State on Twitter on Friday night.

Oklahoma State beat out the other four schools Rawls listed in his top-five back in July; Texas Tech, Kansas, TCU, and Houston. Rawls had 14 total offers, including from Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Missouri, Arizona, and Indiana.

Rawls is a 6-1, 180-pound defensive back from Marshall, Texas. During his junior season, Rawls played both wide receiver and safety and was named a Texas District 9-5A-II second-team selection at Safety.

According to 247 Sports’ composite rankings, Rawls is the No. 43 ranked safety prospect and No. 48 Texas prospect overall.

Rawls is Oklahoma State’s second — and likely final — safety commit for the class of 2021, joining four-star Ty Williams from Muskogee, OK. OSU now has 18 total commits in the class.
