JT Thor made his long awaited decision Sunday morning, but it wasn’t what Oklahoma State fans wanted to hear as the four-star power forward from Norcross, Georgia, committed to Auburn.

OSU appeared to be in the driver’s seat early on after Thor’s visit Stillwater in September. All signs seemed to point to him wanting to play with No. 1-ranked recruit Cade Cunningham. Cunningham committed to OSU, but Thor didn’t right away and dragged out the process. There was speculation he’d go to a blueblood program, go pro overseas or even reclassify to 2021. Each seemed likely at one point or another.

Now, Thor will head to Auburn and the Cowboys will turn their attention to Monday when three-star shooting guard Donovan Williams of Lincoln, Nebraska, is set to announce his decision. Big 12 schools Kansas State and Texas are the other two finalists for Williams.

OSU has one open scholarship for its 2020 class.
