What a day for Oklahoma State.

A few hours after landing commitments from twin wide receivers Blaine and Bryson Green, OSU picked up a commitment from three-star athlete Cam Smith on Wednesday.

Smith picked OSU over SMU — who most think was the runner-up — Boise State, Kansas State, Northwestern, Tulsa, Utah and Vanderbilt, among others.

247Sports has given Smith an 86 rating and has him as the No. 53 athlete and the 108th ranked player in the state of Texas for 2021.

Along with being a multi-sport athlete (track and field; 200 meters, long jump, triple jump, relays), Smith played both receiver and defensive back for Denton (Texas) Braswell. He was named a first-team all-district at receiver and cornerback in Texas 7-5A D-II last season. Oklahoma State is recruiting him to play DB.

Smith had a strong junior season, catching 76 passes for 1,259 yards and 15 touchdowns.

Smith is now the Cowboys’ 10th commit for 2021 and third cornerback, joining Raymond Gay and Makale Smith.

With the addition of the Green twins and Smith, OSU’s 2021 class is now ranked 35th nationally and sixth in the Big 12.
