Oklahoma State lost one member of its top-ranked 2020 class Wednesday when two-time Texas state champion Elise Brown Ton announced on social media he flipped his commitment to Nebraska.
“It is a blessing to announce that I will be attending the University of Nebraska-Lincoln to pursue my college career,” Brown Ton wrote. “I’m grateful for the way God allowed opportunities to play out in this way. Thank you to my parents for their support. Great thanks to Coach (Mark) Manning, Coach (Bryan) Snyder.”
Brown Ton, who committed to OSU on April 11, is projected to be at 165 or 174 pounds in college. OSU had three guys at 165, including All-American Travis Wittlake, and six more at 174 this past season. Two guys at 174 have left the program with Joe Smith graduating and Triston Wills transferring to Arkansas Little Rock. Rising sophomore Travis Wittlake has the 165 spot locked after his All-American season, and incoming freshman Dustin Plott of Tuttle, Oklahoma, could slot in at 174 as a true freshman.
