Oklahoma State landed its first defensive lineman commit for the 2021 class with an in-state recruit in four-star defensive tackle Aden Kelley of Thomas (Fay-Custer) on Sunday.

Kelley is the No. 24 defensive tackle in the nation and No. 6 player in the state of Oklahoma for the 2021 class by 247Sports. The 6-foot-3, 275-pound tackle picked the Cowboys from 21 offers, including Iowa State, Nebraska, TCU and Tulsa among others.

Kelley, a two-way starter on the line, helped Thomas-Fay-Custer to a 9-4 record in 2019 and a berth in the Class A state quarterfinals. He also was one of Class A’s top throwers, placing third in shot put (42-9) and fifth in discus (124-4) at the 2019 state championship track and field meet.

Kelley is the 12th player, including sixth in-state player, to commit to OSU’s 2021 class. He’s also the sixth defensive player to join the group with three cornerbacks in Raymond Gay, Cam Smith, Makale Smith; and inside linebacker Collin Oliver and safety Ty Williams.

With Kelley’s commitment, OSU’s 2021 class ranks fifth in the Big 12 and 44th nationally by 247Sports. Kelley (No. 423) joins four other OSU commits as players ranked inside the composite top-500 with wide receivers Bryson and Blaine Green (Nos. 279 and 349) of Allen, Texas; Oliver (No. 361) of Edmond; and Williams (No. 463) of Muskogee.
