Oklahoma State added another in-state recruit from Del City to its 2021 class with three-star outside linebacker Donovan Stephens, who announced his commitment Sunday on Twitter.
The 6-foot-1, 205-pound Stephens picked the Cowboys over offers from Baylor, Boise State, Eastern Michigan, Hawaii, North Texas and Texas Tech. OSU was the first to offer him back in May 2019, and he made two unofficial visits to Arkansas and Texas Tech outside of OSU.
Stephens is the No. 43rd-ranked player at his position and No. 14 overall recruit in the state of Oklahoma for the 2021 class by 247Sports. He had 112 total tackles — 16 tackles for loss — four sacks and four interceptions in 12 games this past season.
Stephens’ commitment will likely help the Cowboys with fellow Del City three-star linebacker Rejahn Tatum, who named OSU, Baylor and Boise State in his final three in July.
OSU’s 2021 class has 14 players committed, including seven in-state recruits.
