Football Recruiting: Oklahoma State adds three-star corner to 2022 class

Oklahoma State added to their 2022 class on Wednesday with the commitment of three-star cornerback Cameron Epps.

The 6-foot-3 (hello!) defensive back from Chaminade High School in Saint Louis, Missouri announced his verbal commitment on Twitter. It came after an update Coach Gundy dancing tweet on Wednesday morning.

Epps is rated as the No. 50 cornerback and No. 15 overall prospect in the state of Missouri for the 2022 class,

Epps picked Oklahoma State over offers from eight other FBS programs, including Arkansas, Michigan State, Louisville, Boston College, West Virginia, Kansas State, Kansas, and Vanderbilt.

OSU extended an offer to Epps back in September of 2020. He followed up with a virtual visit a few weeks later.

“It was definitely one of the better campuses I have seen so far,” Epps said to GoPokes.com.

Epps is now the fourth verbal commit for OSU’s 2022 class, running backs CJ Brown and Ollie Gordon, and three-star linebacker Gabe Brown. Epps is the first corner commit.

OSU fans are still waiting on Friday to arrive, when the “silent commit” that a Gundy tweet alluded to in January, is expected to officially announce his commitment.
