The Oklahoma State women’s soccer team will have four of their five home matches this upcoming season air on ESPN Plus, according to team’s schedule on OSU’s athletics website.
OSU’s home matches against Iowa State (Sept. 18), West Virginia (Sept. 25), TCU (Oct. 9) and Texas Tech (Oct. 30) will air on ESPN Plus. The Cowgirls’ match against Texas (Oct. 23) is the lone contest at Neal Patterson Stadium that will not air on ESPN Plus.
OSU will play nine Big 12 matches this fall, starting at 7 p.m. Saturday at Kansas State. The Cowgirls’ season opener against Bedlam rival Oklahoma on Friday was postponed due to COVID-19 precautions. The teams will look to reschedule the match at a later date.
The Big 12 ruled soccer along with football and volleyball as “high contact” sports that will have players tested for COVID-19 three times a week, according to the Big 12’s release Wednesday. If a student-athlete tests positive for coronavirus, they must go through an electrocardiogram (EKG), troponin blood test, echocardiogram and cardiac MRI.
