Oklahoma State wrestling: No. 1 recruit AJ Ferrari commits to Cowboys

Ferrari picked the Cowboys over Nebraska, Ohio State, Penn State and Rutgers.

AJ Ferrari, the No. 1-ranked overall wrestling recruit in the 2020 Class, committed to Oklahoma State on Wednesday night.

Ferrari wrapped up his official visits with Oklahoma State this past weekend in Stillwater. He also visited Nebraska, Ohio State, Penn State and Rutgers.

Ferrari, a Cadet world medalist and Fargo national champion, is projected to wrestle at 197 pounds in college. He competed at 195 and 220 pounds this past season for New Jersey powerhouses Blair Academy and Bergen Catholic. Ferrari and his brother, Anthony, will return to Allen, Texas, for next season to be closer to their family. Anthony is the No. 7-ranked recruit in the 2022 class by FloWrestling.
