Oklahoma State redshirt sophomore Daton Fix and Cowboy alums Alex Dieringer and Jordan Oliver will wrestle in men’s freestyle for the United States at Matteo Pellicone International on Jan. 18 in Rome, USA Wrestling announced Tuesday.

The Matteo Pellicone International is the first United World Wrestling’s Ranking Series event of the year. The three-day event will be broadcasted live on FloWrestling with all three OSU representatives competing on the final day.

Fix, Dieringer and Oliver — who have already qualified for the 2020 U.S. Olympic Team — will be wrestling at their respective Olympic weights in Rome.

Fix is taking an Olympic redshirt this season after making the 2019 World Championship team at 57 kilograms. He has sat out since going 1-1 at Worlds in September in Kazakstan. Dieringer and Oliver, meanwhile, both won the Bill Farrell Memorial at 84 and 65kg, respectively, in November in New York City. Oliver then outscored his five opponents 50-0 to win Senior Nationals in December in Fort Worth, Texas; while Dieringer was upset 6-4 in the semifinals of the event by Myles Martin then rebounded with two technical falls for third at the event.
