Oklahoma State wrestling guide to 2020 UWW Junior, U23 Nationals

AJ Ferrari, the top recruit for OSU’s freshman class, is the Cowboy to watch.

The Oklahoma State wrestling team will be represented by five current athletes at the UWW Junior and U23 Nationals this weekend in Omaha, Nebraska. The winners of each style in the event will qualify for the 2021 senior World Team Trials and/or 2021 Junior World Team Trials.

The current Cowboys set to compete in freestyle are sophomore Reece Witcraft; freshmen Luke Surber, AJ Ferrari and Konner Doucet and redshirt junior transfer Connor Webb.

The Cowboys will also see 2021 commit Victor Voinovich and 2022 target Anthony Ferrari in action at 65 kilograms. Both competed last month, with Voinovich winning his second FloWrestling “Who’s Number One” showcase match and Ferrari taking second at Super 32. Ferrari, a younger brother of OSU freshman AJ Ferrari, listed the Cowboys in his top three in September.

57 kgs: Reece Witcraft (So.)

65 kgs: Victor Voinovich (2021 signee)

65 kgs: Anthony Ferrari (2022 target, OSU in top 3)

86 kgs: Luke Surber (Fr.)

92 kgs: AJ Ferrari (Fr.)

125 kgs: Konner Doucet (Fr.)

97 kgs: Connor Webb (R-Jr.)
