Ethan Kyle is heading back to Stillwater.

The former Oklahoma State wrestler will be the new head coach for Stillwater High School, the school announced Tuesday night.

Kyle, a 2007 OSU graduate, was a member of OSU’s four NCAA championship teams at 133 and 141 pounds from 2003-06 and served as the 2007 team captain. He served as a graduate assistant at OSU before joining fellow former OSU wrestler Mark Branch’s staff at Wyoming, where he earned a master’s degree in health and kinesiology in 2015. Kyle most recently was the associate head coach and recruiting coordinator, where he planned a major role in UW starting to gain roots in Colorado.

Kyle will have two returning Class 6A state champions with two-time champ and senior-to-be Chase Young (132) and rising sophomore Cael Hughes (106). Young is ranked No. 93 in FloWrestling’s Class of 2021 national rankings, and Hughes is No. 31 for Class of 2023.
