It took Oklahoma State seven days to replace Elise Brown Ton, who flipped his commitment to Nebraska, in its top-ranked 2020 recruiting class.
The Cowboys added Missouri state champion Evan Shetley of Sullivan High School in Burbon, Missouri, according to Xtreme Regional Training Center coach Cornell Robinson. Shetley, who is projected to be at 184 or 197 pounds, also played football.
Shetly became Sullivan’s first state champion in wrestling with a 3-2 decision in the Class 2A final at 182 pounds. He went 45-1 during his senior season with 28 wins by fall, and was 159-26 in his prep career to be the winningest wrestler in program history.
