One of Oklahoma State’s best defenders announced his intentions to enter the 2021 NFL Draft on Monday afternoon.

Kolby Harvell- Peel amassed 44 tackles and two interceptions last season for Oklahoma State. The College Station, Texas product battled injuries throughout the year. Harvell-Peel finished with 77 tackles and five interceptions with 13 passes defended in a stellar 2019 season.

“I would like to officially announce that I’m declaring for the 2021 NFL Draft,” Harvell-Peel said in a graphic he tweeted out. “I would also like to thank mu coaches, teammates, friends and family for the sacrifice they’ve made in order for me to be in this position. Without you, none of this is possible.”

This is a big loss for the Oklahoma State football program. Harvell-Peel is an outstanding safety who figures to have a nice career in the NFL. The Cowboys defense is returning a solid amount of talent, but many Oklahoma State fans were hoping for one more year from KHP.

Two defenders returning to Oklahoma State are linebacker Malcolm Rodriguez and safety Tre Sterling. The two sent out a tweets of support for Harvell-Peel, along with former Cowboy defensive back AJ Green.

Whatever team lands Harvell-Peel is getting a talented defender. From all of us at CRFF, good luck in the NFL, Kolby!
