Kyle Crutchmer, a two-time All-American and two-time Big 12 champion wrestler at Oklahoma State, will fight Scott Futrell at Bellator 239 on Friday, Feb. 21 at WinStar World Casino and Resort in Thackerville, Oklahoma.
Crutchmer (5-0, 1-0 Bellator) announced in mid-December he’d fight on the card, and the promotion confirmed his opponent and the 175-pound contract preliminary bout Thursday. He won his Bellator debut in November in Thackerville with an unanimous decision against Robert Gidron.
The St. Louis-based Futrell (11-9, 0-1 Bellator) is on a three-fight losing streak since his first-round submission loss to Mike Shipman at Bellator 210 in November 2018.
Crutchmer — who went 95-26 in his OSU career and graduated in 2017 — trains with Daniel Cormier, a former two-division UFC champion and former OSU All-American wrestler, at American Kickboxing Academy in San Jose, California.
The preliminary card will start at 6 p.m. on MMA Junkie and the main card airs two hours later on Paramount and streams on DAZN.
