Coaching evaluation services across the country were scrambling to update their rankings following Joe Wickline's de-commitment from Oklahoma State and subsequent signing with the University of Texas.   Iowa based evaluation service, Nivals.com, immediately added a star to Wickline's profile following news of his signing.  Similarly, LOUT Recruiting now considers Wickline the best offensive line coach in the country and the fourth best coach in his class.  On average, coach Wickline jumped 17 spots across the myriad ranking services, exactly mirroring the bump many of his former recruits experienced after switching their commitment to the Longhorns.

Longhorn offensive tackle, Donald Hawkins, was ecstatic about the addition of Wickline to the Texas staff, saying "I always knew Coach Wick would be my coach.  I've been recruiting him since I was at Oklahoma State."  Referring to Wickline's reputation for juggling the offensive line, Hawkins continued, "and I've always wanted to play center!" Texas wide receiver Kendall Sanders had similar praise for his new offensive coordinator.  "Wick knows his [stuff].  It will be great to have him as a coach again! In Wick we trust."

Charlie Strong's new coaching staff was officially announced Wednesday.
