#LetsRide22 has its newest member. Following the Spring Game, Cornerback out of Southlake Carroll (Tx) Avyonne Jones has committed to Oklahoma State.
Jones was on a Southlake Carroll team that finished runner-up in the Texas 6A title game in 2020. He was also chosen All-District in his junior year. The 5- foot-11, 180 pound Jones registered 46 total tackles, 3 tackles for loss, 13 pass deflections, and one interception.

Jones had offers from Northwestern, Tulane, SMU, and Tennessee. His commitment brings the class of 2022 to 10 commitments.
He is the second cornerback in this class following Cameron Epps. But it is possible that someone like Jones could play in multiple spots in the backfield before his time as a Cowboy is done. This weekend's spring game was Jones’s first time physically on campus. Though he has taken a few virtual visits.
