We now have our first positive news in regards to Oklahoma State’s non-conference basketball schedule for the upcoming 2020-2021 season.

OSU will be one of the teams participating in a multi-team event (MTE) in Lincoln, Nebraska, held by Elevate Hoops, according to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.

Cleveland State, Illinois State, LSU, Nebraska, Nevada and Northern Iowa are also included in the field. More teams are expected to be added.

In September, the Omaha World Herald reported Nebraska would hold the event, hoping to host as many as 16 teams with a start date of Nov. 25, the first day men’s basketball teams are allowed to begin playing games. It would go through Nov. 28 with additional games set for Nov. 28 to Dec. 2.

OSU was originally scheduled to participate in the Charleston Classic as their neutral-site MTE, but withdrew after it was moved to Orlando, and other teams began dropping.

This is the latest news regarding OSU’s schedule for the upcoming season. OSU, along with the rest of the Big 12, will play two conference games in December. The Big 12 and SEC are expected to hold their annual cross-conference rivalry match-up on Jan. 30. The Big 12 is also trying to keep its cross-conference event with the Big East on the schedule for this season as well. OSU is currently scheduled to play Marquette on Dec. 1 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
